Presentation of new versatile sawing centers

At the Tube in Düsseldorf (from March 31st to April 4th), RSA will pre-sent two new sawing centers that take up a trend in the pre-production of tubes and sections: Specialization in product quality, transition to flexible production.

Particularly in the tube trade and at the component suppliers to the automotive industry, the variety of workpiece shapes and materials is increas-ing. Restrictive quality specifications require a high production know-how, cost pressure and ability to deliver call for flexible machine concepts. To show you how to cope with this balancing act, RSA will present as an example two new sawing centers at the Tube. They complete the existing range of products, and as a result six types are available now. Each sawing center meets specific demands, but its design is flexible and facilitates processing of a wide spectrum of workpieces for an optimum production utilization.

New sawing center for short tubes of a length from 20 mm

The sawing center RASACUT SK was developed for high precision and high performance cutting and deburring of short tubes from 20 mm length. In view of such short lengths, the handling of the tubes and the complete, reproducible deburring represents a particular challenge. For that, RSA presents a process-reassured solution that improves operating sequence and quality not only during sawing, but also during deburring. The use of high performance brushes gives some advantages over the usual vibratory de-burring. The sawing center can be expanded further through modules for checking and cleaning.

New sawing center for tubes and solid bars
up to 170 mm diameter

RSA developed the sawing center RASACUT XXL for cutting tubes and solid bars up to 170 mm diameter. Previously, this dimensional range was the domain of band saws. But according to customers using this new circular saw, the cutting time is reduced by up to 90 % compared to modern band saws, and the quality of the cut surface has improved in so far as perpendicu-larity and surface roughness is concerned. The sawing center may consist of modules for deburring, checking, cleaning, and stacking or be expanded afterwards.

RSA can be found at the Tube in hall 8B, stand E28.
