Accurate measuring in a continuous process

Aktualisiert am: 20.03.2006 11:44
Due to the continual development of the Bewo SCF 90 QUATRO and its ever increasing output rates, Bewo are also introducing the SCC 90, a measuring machine capable of working in unison with the SCF 90. This new machine measures with extreme precision, using an optical measuring system that allows it to operate at rates of up to 8000 products per hour.

With the SCC90 Bewo has moved away from the conventional contact type measuring machine and is bringing to the market a complete new system that works with optical measuring instruments. It is no longer necessary to pick up and position the tubes to register the length of the tube. With the optical measuring instruments the length can be measured touch less during the transport between the modules of the sawing line. Tubes that are not within tolerances are automatically rejected from the process. It is also possible to measure both the flatness and roundness of the tube end. All measurement values are processed into statistical values which are graphically display on the central operator panel of the sawing line. This makes the SCC90 an indispensable addition to the sawing machine SCF90.

It goes without saying that both the SCF90 and the SCC90 can be extended with ancillary equipment to form a complete production line. Bewo is also introducing a new Pick and Place Packing system, SCP90 which can collect and pack tubes in a variety of shapes and containers, this together with Bewo's deburring and washing machine complete a truly automatic sawing process.

Bewo has an excellent reputation and many years experience as a producer of industrial metal cutting circular sawing machines and this celebrates it's 70th anniversary by exhibiting a complete NEW cutting, deburring, measuring, washing and packing line at the Tube & Wire 2006 exhibition in Düsseldorf.
